Bad food at a cheap price. Food here is bad. Worst Mexican food I’ve ever had. I don’t know why there are so many great reviews. Maybe they are all from drunk or high college kids. The inside as well as outside of this restaurant looks gross, old, and outdated with tons of bad cheap decor. They purposely keep it dark inside so you can’t see how bad it looks. The portions are small too. Only good thing is the price.

My girlfriend and I love this place, we come back all the time. Throwback vibe, amazing price-quality ratio for drinks and food. High value, no wonder it’s the best rated Mexican restaurant in East Village ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The best Mexican food in nyc! Order the guac and steak quesadillas. Salsa and margaritas are awesome too. Also great prices!

I’ve tried almost every taco place in the area and I’d say this is the best yet!!! Get the carnitas taco. Also it’s cheaper than most places too :)

Authentic tacos with quality ingredients. I stopped hunting for tacos spots after discovering this whole in the wall. The portions are generous and fairly priced too. The margs are strong so well worth the cost. I’ve been here numerous times with friends and causal date night.

Great place in East Village to meet friends and enjoy tacos. We got in just in time (a little after 6 on a Saturday) to beat the rush. Great decorations, authentic Mexican music mixed with 90s grunge rock, and the food was good. Only issues were the lettuce was frozen on a tostada and the pineapple in the margarita had gone bad. Oh, and when they tell you the steak taco is spicy, they mean it.

An authentic Mexican spot without the extras. The service was fast and the servings were just the right amount. The prices were so affordable and the downstairs seating area would make a great spot for a large group gathering. Don’t come here expecting the average “Mexican-American” menu. For instance, they don’t have fajitas. It was great, though, and well worth a 30-minute walk.

A place that knows it's in NYC and knows what good Mexican tacos are. Good price, great staff, good beer selection, amazing tacos. Atmosphere can be loud, and at times a little crowded, but nothing that should scare you off.

Just go eat here! I don’t usually write reviews but after 4 times here, I have to. The tacos are cheap, great quality and good sizes. The environment is great for a date or just hanging out with friends. The staff isn’t as nice but I’m not looking for amazing service - I usually just wanna eat good food and talk with my party. I ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND.

Great food, great atmosphere, & great energy. I got the steak tacos- which were terrific, & my friend ordered the vegetarian enchiladas. We loved it!

If you come here and you don't have the "Carnitas Tacos" and the "Margarita" did you really came? Very good food, very good service, amazing margaritas. I read some reviews before going about the service, but that people just hating. I can see how the service can go wrong when its to crowded but c'mon any small place with so many people can have a bad day. Our waiter "Edgar" was a very nice kid with excellent customer service. I'm totally coming back here!

Having recently moved here from Los Angeles, I knew I had to give this a try but didn't have high expectations. Came here late on a Friday so it was pretty busy but we were still able to order and were served quickly in the bar area (the dining was about a 30 minute wait). The margaritas are solid for the price (albeit a little sweet), and the tacos held up. I highly recommend the steak (spicy for non-Californians) and fish tacos. Chips and salsa are complimentary, so I'd recommend setting yourself up at the bar with a marg and 3 tacos to call it a night. Great LA vibes through-and-through

BEST FISH TACOS IN THE TRI STATE AREA. Also fantastic margaritas, cool vibe and the entire menu is delicious.

Only reason I won't give 5 stars is for how jam-packed the location is. Food is good. Service is good. Just being elbow to elbow at a restaurant due to the bar is aggravating. (Also, the pork is a bit salty. And if you aren't for spicy, ask for the sauce on the side.)

Love this place! Yummy chips given when you sit down. Great quality tacos for great prices. Love the vibe here. Quick service! Can get busy on weekends and you maybe feel a bit hurried, but that's to be expected. Always return here!

Went for the first time today, loved it. Juicy tender meats with great seasoning. Steak taco was on the super spicy side.

Best tacoplace ive been in my entire life! And a great value!!

This is the second time I've had bad orders here. I'm allergic to onions I've emphasised it multiple times when I made my orders. And I still ended up with slivered onions in my food. I've had to throw my food away twice in two weeks. I tip well every time out of good will and it's still a massive disappointment. They mixed our orders up as well yesterday the lamb was mixed up with the beef tongue and the steaks. Ugh damn shame because all my friends have raved about this place.The only positive thing was that the margaritas were very good!

Expensive for the quality of food bought. I paid for a lunch special, tacos with chicken. Tacos were not cooked well enough. Tacos consist of shredded chicken, raw onions, and cilantro. There was no guacamole, no tomatoes, nor sour cream. The sauce given with the lunch special tasted so bitter. I would not recommend anyone to go to this place.
